Notes should be allowed on mobile entry. If it complicates the screen I'll make it optional.

Ah, I see you transferred my request over here from HeliFreak. How's it coming?

I've been busy as heck at the day job lately. I should have this done for the weekend.

Ok, this is working now. :D

Fantastic! I noticed it on Sunday when I was entering my flights for the day.

The notes area is a bit small for my style of log entries (I tend to treat them more as journal entries than log entries), but I'm able to drag my finger and scroll up if necessary, so it'll definitely suffice.

What mobile device are you using?

iPhone 3G.

Do you want a wider field or more lines? I'm not sure I want to make it any bigger, but in case I do, what would you prefer?

From a user interface perspective, I think more lines would be better. As a general rule, I have a much easier time scrolling down to read large blocks of text than scrolling sideways.

It makes sense if you think about it: if you have to scroll sideways, you have to scroll two directions as you're reading: right to see the rest of the current line and then back left to see the beginning of the next line. If everything is vertical, you only have to scroll down.

I agree. But I also don't mind the small text field scrolling instead of the main window, so I wanted to get your opinion.

If you don't want to increase the height of the text area, is there any way you could add a paging widget of some sort? I wouldn't mind so much scrolling up through the text if the iPhone didn't put that "magnifying glass" on the screen.
