Flew the Velocity with the Outrage Formula 30% fuel. Easy to tune, it was great, much less bogging on pitch pumps. Did loops, holding inverted before coming out.
Flew the G5 held inverted a couple times. Flying very high, easy to lose orientation.
Used RCATS glow driver for the 1st time, charged it when I got home.

Started Velocity 50. Forgot to pull pin for RX battery. Engine ran away. Damage report as follows:
1 x R50N949-SS OUTRAGE Strut Tube Set = $3.99
1 x KBDD 92mm Neon Orange HP Tail Rotor Blades for 30/50 (4063) = $9.50
1 x R50N910-SS OUTRAGE Blade Grip Arm Assembly = $8.99
1 x R50N105-2 OUTRAGE Clutch liner = $2.49
1 x PRO CA + GLUE 1 OZ MEDIUM (GPMR6008) = $3.99
1 x KBDD HP 30-50 Paddles - Neon Orange 3mm (4203) = $12.49
1 x R50N901-SS OUTRAGE Linkage Rod Set Head Assembly = $3.49
Also whacked the DX7 - Found replacement for $170 total. Plan to send damaged one to Spektrum after settings transferred to new TX.
Both blades (RotorTech 610mm) were damaged, had replacements on the way already for $65
Total as listed is $279.94, dad chipped in $200, taking responsibility that he distracted me as I was about to start. No excuse, I should have known better!

Changed engines around. KME w/ Outrage pipe on the Velocity. TT53 out of Velocity into Pantera w/ TT pipe. Flew @ CCRCC today. Got in 1 flight each on the Pantera & Velocity 50. Throttle linkage ball fell out of Carb on Pantera, no damage, just had to let it run out of fuel. Flew the Pantera in a few backwards circles. Have been practicing that on Phoenix for several days...felt good and in control. only flew the Velocity around easy because of fear that the KME would die on me, no such thing happened.

4 flights on the Pantera today with the TT53. Had to replace glow plug that was burnt out from previous outing where throttle linkage fell off and I had to run the tank out. Several times, while flying the Pantera I got a "glitch" that involves either the engine, RX, or clutch. It happens very quickly and for a short amount of time. I thought it might be a link getting caught on the canopy and cut away more canopy to be sure it wasn't rubbing.
2 flights on the Velocity today with the KME. Started a 3rd flight and had to auto in as the blades lost power, but the engine was still running. Successively leaned the high speed needle 3 clicks on each the 2nd & third flights. I believe the clutch & starter oneway are damaged from the previous incident at mom & dads. Took heli up after auto-ing in, no damage and it hovered fine, but noticed clutch dust on fan shroud. Also changed main oneway, just as a precaution.
Overall flying was a success, though I felt very rusty and tried nothing more than some backwards circuits, nothing I was super proud of.

Flew Pantera for 1 good flight. Engine seemed to run very well on the 12.5% nitro. HS65 servo on throttle failed, do not know exactly what failed, gears I assume, too much vibration.
Got one 2 minute flight on the Pantera, before the oneway bearing slipped, and I brought it down. New one is on the way, no reason to risk it again.

3 full flights on the Newest one-way bearing, everything worked great!

5 flights today on the Velocity. Installed Eagle Tree logger. RPM sensor did not give good readings, don't know why yet. Changed throttle curve from 0-70-100 to 0-40-75 and loved the difference, just wish I knew what the headspeed was. Spent the flights doing nose in circles both directions, flying backwards(lots of it!), nose in hover, even did a nose in landing, and some rolls and stall turns at the end of the day. Was able to get 9 minute flights pretty reliably.

Tried Eagle Tree Again with a washer to space the crank sensor from the backplate. RPM readings looked great. Throttle is 0-40-70 hover is at 54%

The day was plagued with engine tuning issues. I had the Pantera with tt53 & Outrage pipe. Used the Eagle Tree but with my poor tuning was unable to get much worthwhile data. The Pantera was also hard to tune, and I eventually changed the glow plug which helped a great deal. I hope to get the KME built carb soon.

58 deg day, and Amy MADE me go fly!!! I did a lot of continuous rolls flying forward. Right was easy, left was ugly, I must by adding for/aft pitch and messing it up. I also did some stationary continuous rolls & flips, very high up. flying backwards is becoming second nature. I still freak out whenever I get inverted. I attempted a forward moving back flip while maintaining same altitude. It looked bad, but it'll come.

first 50+ deg day in over a month.
Velocity #1
Had 2 good flights, did some backwards flying, couple loops. I keep turning in manuevers, loops aren't straight through. Practiced more sideways flying, easier in the air opposed to the sim. On the 3rd flight I had a flameout from a lean condition that I didn't notice (should have) and toasted the piston on the KME. Replaced piston & ring.
Velocity #2
Waiting on servos
Pantera
Engine issues still

Flew the G5 today. Went through 3 packs. Spent the last 2 packs trying to hold the heli inverted tail in. Was able to hold 30 seconds max. It was very windy.

Outrage G5 - Hovered through 3 batteries, mostly tail-in inverted. building confidence, got as low as 15 ft.
Velocity 50 - flew with the Multigov Pro for the first time. It made quite a difference in forward flight, heli wanted to stay level. It was great. I am getting reduced flight time of 7 minutes. Used to land at 7 minutes with fuel, now sucking fumes at 7. Governor was set to 2100. I'll play with it more after Velocity 2 is flying.

Had the SK720 installed for the first time on the Velocity 50 (#1). It had a horrible oscillation that I think was caused by poor mounting (using the align adhesive gel) and the cyclic gain being set to 100% instead of 50%. Need to start over basically.
